Tennis & COVID-19

The latest Government guidance and information regarding the coronavirus can be found via the following link:
NTA is in communication with the LTA (our governing body, who is liaising directly with Government) and other relevant organisations regarding the coronavirus, and has been advised there is presently no reason people should stop tennis activities as they normally would. This applies to our coaching programmes, and so tennis activities can continue as normal. Should that position change or further advice and guidance be provided then this page will be updated.
At present all coaching, includng group and individual sessions, will continue to run as scheduled. Our coaches and venues will be putting extra measures in place to ensure the safety of all, including:
- Distancing players within group coaching sessions, and not bringing groups together between activities.
- Encourage the use of players own racket, where possible
- No handshakes or high-fives on court
- Anyone who has been advised to self-isolate or stay at home based on the advice on the NHS.UK website should clearly not therefore take part in tennis activities for the duration of the specified period.
We are monitoring the situation closely and we have an experienced team drawn from across all areas of the business who are speaking regularly to monitor developments and react accordingly. As is normal business practice, we are following the UK government guidelines and will adjust our response accordingly, and we will let you know if we make changes.
